About

Joan was in love with real estate even before she got a real estate agent’s license.

Her discovery of it came in her quest for financial freedom. Prior to her relocation to the US, Joan was born and raised in Singapore where she worked in business development and consultancy. For 3 years, she worked with small businesses, multi-national corporations and politicians. While generally contented, she often wondered if her life could be destined for something else outside of working in a corporation.

At the back of her husband’s relocation to the US for work, she seized the opportunity to take a step back from a corporate environment and explore the alternative that would allow her to achieve the quality of life and financial freedom that she envisioned.

Her life took a turn after attending a real estate investment seminar. From the moment she decided that she would begin her investment journey (as a wholesaler), she got down to building a network of investor contacts and getting involved in real estate deals. Little did she know that checking out distressed properties, swiping away cobwebs in dark basements, poring over zoning by-laws and tweaking excel formulas would one day, truly set her apart from other real estate agents.

As an agent, Joan conscientiously applies her knowledge when working with clients. She is in her element when analyzing home purchases, figuring out CAP rates or looking up market conditions in order to determine the best price and strategy to sell a home. She loves connecting with her clients and brings her heart to every purchase and listing that she represents. Speaking of which, she welcomes you to check out her reviews as well as portfolio! She is a grateful to belong to the Keller Williams family and proud of her team at Treetop Group.

Joan is in real estate to better the lives of people and her community. In the midst of her success, she often reminds herself of the public service she could render through her profession; her raison d'être best captured by the poem To Laugh Often And Much by Ralph Waldo Emerson:

To laugh often and much
to win the respect of intelligent people
and the affection of children;
to earn the appreciation of honest critics
and endure the betrayal of false friends;
to appreciate beauty;
to find the best in others;
to leave the world a bit better,
whether by a healthy child,
a garden patch
or a redeemed social condition;
to know even one life has breathed easier
because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded.

Real estate aside, Joan finds time to give back to the community through directing at local and national fencing events. Her love for travel, people and culture has brought her to 46 countries to date.

Joan is bilingual in English and Chinese. A former resident of Boxborough MA, she now lives happily with her husband in Littleton MA.

She looks forward to visiting Iceland with her sister one day.
