I’d come to know Adam though my membership with Business Network International (BNI), which is… well, pretty self-explanatory. Group of professionals who gather to make good contacts for business referrals.
We meet every Tuesday, 7 - 8:30am, during which we share learnings and also talk about our business needs and wants.
If not for the fact that I get so inspired by these awesome people and always walk away feeling a little more motivated to do better, I would probably not most definitely not be awake at 7am on any other days. I am not an early riser; I’m a late owl who sleeps at 1am. Please do not call me at 7am or I’ll be grumpy for the rest of the day and my poor husband will bear the brunt of it.
Today’s meeting was yet another meaningful one, especially since it was Adam’s turn to present about his work as a General Contractor (GC). My, he gave us a treat!

Adam noted that Halloween was around the corner and so took effort to prepare his content thematically;
must I say again that he’s just described his work in poetry? He sees it as art, guys!
I mean, I didn’t even write my wedding vows in poetry. 😳
What does a General Contractor (GC) do?
The above is a snapshot of what a GC does. He/she is basically your one point of contact to work with on your project, from working out the scope, sending a proposal, pulling the right permits, hiring tradesmen for various aspects of the job, and managing work and communication.
